When the tool encounters the edge of the workpiece, the compensation mechanism installed linearly by ibex allows the tool to achieve axial movement. In conjunction with ibex conical deburring tools, radial dimensional deviations of the part can also be compensated.
This way, the deburring tool always has the same cutting performance on the workpiece, thus achieving a uniform and consistent deburring effect.

Challenges and Difficulties
The challenge lies in achieving dual savings in both hard and soft costs, while also reducing the time spent on single-sided drilling of flanges, back chamfering, and machining controllable chamfers on the top surface (which was originally an auxiliary process).
Countermeasures
We have designed an indexable drill bit that incorporates our back-cutting carbide burr insert and integrates a fixed pocket chamfer insert for achieving the desired high-precision top chamfer. Additionally, this insertable drill bit features a special design for chamfering the upper edge of the bottom hole of pre-drilled holes.
Application Effects

The combined drill and deburr tool simultaneously completes drilling, deburring, and back chamfering in a single operation, eliminating the need for separate top-side back chamfering. This improvement saves time and reduces costs. Additionally, the combined tool offers a longer service life and better processing consistency compared to the original method. Four operations can be merged into a single pass.
